No current loadshedding.
As in previous occasions, should anything change regarding the grid, loadshedding could be implemented at short notice.
💧‼️ CURRENT WATER STATUS: ‼️💧
In a media release by Executive Mayor Patrick Mabilo, it was mentioned that the water supply will be interrupted in low lying areas at 18h00 till 05h00 whilst high lying areas will be interrupted at 20h00 to 05h00. Residents should however still use water sparingly otherwise the water situation will not return to normal and also to prevent possible earlier shutoff at Newton Reservoir if the need arises.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (25 Feb 2021), the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in South Africa is 1 509 124.
The cumulative total of tests conducted to date is 8 999 322 with 31 862 new tests recorded since the last report.
Regrettably, 144 deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 7, Free State 25, Gauteng 14, Kwa-Zulu Natal 10, Limpopo 22, Mpumalanga 10, North West 41, Northern Cape 2 and Western Cape 13 which brings the total to 49 667 deaths.
We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased patients.
Our recoveries now stand at 1 424 401, representing a recovery rate of 94%
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 25 FEBRUARY 2021
The Minister of Health announced an additional 88 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape, bringing the cumulative total to 33 793 people.
In today’s report, Frances Baard recorded the highest number of new positive cases (25), followed by both JT Gaetsewe and ZF Mgcawu with 20 cases each, Namakwa (19) and Pixley ka Seme (4).
Sadly, there are two (2) new COVID-19 related deaths reported today, that occurred in the past 72 hours. The Province total cumulative deaths due to COVID-19 complications currently stands at 666.
The number of total active cases in the Province is standing at 2 332.
There are 43 new recoveries reported today. The Province average recovery rate currently stands at 91%, representing a cumulative total of 30 793 people who have recovered from COVID-19.
