As in previous occasions, should anything change regarding the grid, loadshedding could be implemented at short notice.

Kimberley Sol Plaatje Municipal Rates & Tariffs for 2021/22 – as from 1 July 2021
Rates increase by 4,0%, electricity by 14,59% (domestic), water by 4,0%,  sanitation by 4,0% and cleansing/refuse collection by 4,0%.

Sol Plaatje have stated that Newton Reservoir pumps are turned off nightly until an adequate water level is achieved.
Time of Nightly Water Shutdown: 22:00 – 04:00 / 10pm – 4am
PLEASE NOTE: As in the past, sometimes water was switched off earlier than specified or switched on later than the times mentioned.

Spinach is probably one of the alternately most loved and reviled vegetables to ever reach our plates. COVID-19 INFO

As of today (15 July 2021), the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), a division of the National Health Laboratory Service, reports 16 435 new COVID-19 cases that have been identified in South Africa, which brings the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases to 2 253 240. This increase represents a 29.9% positivity rate.

As per the National Department of Health, a further 377 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 65 972 to date.

14 100 628 tests have been conducted in both public and private sectors.

The majority of new cases today are from Gauteng (44%), followed by Western Cape (18%). Limpopo and North West each accounted for 9%; Mpumalanga accounted for 7%; Eastern Cape accounted for 5%; Free State and KwaZulu-Natal each accounted for 3%; and Northern Cape accounted for 2% of today’s new cases

NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 15 JULY 2021
The National Department of Health announced an additional 299 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape in the past 24 hours. This brings the Province total to 62 633 people.
ZF Mgcawu recorded the highest COVID-19 infections with 109, followed by Frances Baard (76), Namakwa (64), ZF Mgcawu, JT Gaetsewe (35) and Pixley ka Seme with 15 cases.
Today, there were fifteen (15) deaths reported related to COVID-19 complications, most of the deaths (12) are from previous months due to delays in reporting. The Province total cumulative deaths increased to 1 490.
We convey our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the families and loved ones of the departed.
The number of total active cases is currently standing at 4 614.
There were 286 people reported to have recorded from the disease. The Province average recovery rate stand at 90%, representing a cumulative total of 56 527 people who have recovered from COVID-19.
