Cable fault is still present in certain parts of New Park. Streets affected include, Buchanan Street, Bottomley Avenue, Reservoir Road, Scanlan Street, Meyer Street and Doherty Street.
Sol Plaatje Electrical Department are investigating the issue

ELECTRICITY FAULT AT NEWTON SUBSTATION
We’re currently experiencing an 11kv electricity fault at the Newton substation. This is also
affecting the supply of water from the Newton Reservoir which is dependent on electricity. The electricians are attending to the matter.
The municipality would like to apologise for the inconvenience.
