UPDATE: 8 MAY 2025 – 14:05
Once again an Electricity Outage has occurred affecting a number of residential areas including, but not limited to Lindene, New Hillcrest, Hillcrest, Royldene, Newpark, Rhodesdene, Carters Glen, the CBD and Albertynshof. Outage appears to emanate again from the Hadison Park Substation as it has gone off the last few days already. At this stage we are still waiting on feedback from Sol Plaatje confirming the outage location and affected areas.
It has been reported to the municipality.
According to Ward 24 Cllr, Management met with the electrical department yesterday regarding this recent series of outages. It must also be brought to the attention of residents that the municipality is engaged with Eskom to receive technical assistance.
