UPDATE: 28 AUGUST 2025 – 07:30
ALERT: TEMPORARY POWER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION – 66kV Trip at HA Morris Substation.
Cause: Exploded 66kV line jumper at Galeshewe Substation and 11kV line that ends at Kutlwanong Feeder.
Substation Affected: Galeshewe Substation.
Action: Our electricians isolated Galeshewe Substation from the Network at HA Morris Substation in order to repair the jumper.
Once the 66kV line jumper and 11kV Kutlwanong ends have been repaired at Galeshewe Substation, supply will be restored immediately. However Midlands Substation will be switched off temporarily during the day for less than 20 minutes, in order to energize Galeshewe Substation.
