There is electricity outage in the CBD area, Monument Heights right through to Southridge. This is due to a 66KV trip. The electricians are aware and are busy locating the fault that is causing the trip.
Our call centre is also affected by this, their telephone lines are off due to this.

The Municipality is aware about the power outage in New park . There is a Cable fault that was caused by the storm in the early hours of this morning. The electricians are currently on site repairing fault. Once repairs are complete power will be restored .

The municipality is aware of the power outage in parts of Kimberley and the Electrical department is currently looking for the fault, which was most likely caused by the storm.
Please note that due to New Park also affected by the power outage, Newton Reservoir does not have power to pump water and most areas in Kimberley will have little to no water pressure.
