Even though there is currently no loadshedding, there remains a high risk to the system and loadshedding could again be implemented at short notice.
Kimberley Sol Plaatje Municipal Rates & Tariffs for 2021/22 – as from 1 July 2021
Rates increase by 4,0%, electricity by 14,59% (domestic), water by 4,0%, sanitation by 4,0% and cleansing/refuse collection by 4,0%.

Going out to restaurants one of people’s favorite activities because they get the chance to taste the best cuisine from the chefs that work behind the scenes. International Chef day is a for them, and is probably one of the best opportunities people can get to learn how to cook and connect with chefs in their local area. COVID-19 INFO
As of today (19 October 2021), the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), a division of the National Health Laboratory Service reports 453 new COVID-19 cases that have been identified in South Africa, which brings the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases to 2 917 255. This increase represents a 1.6% positivity rate.
As per the National Department of Health, a further 50 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 88 674 to date.
18 217 612 tests have been conducted in both public and private sectors.
The majority of new cases today are from KwaZulu-Natal (23%), followed by Gauteng Province (21%), and Western Cape (19%). Free State accounted for 10%; Mpumalanga accounted for 9%; Northern Cape accounted for 7%; North West accounted for 6%; Eastern Cape accounted for 5%; and Limpopo accounted for 1% of today’s new cases.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 19 OCTOBER 2021
The National Department of Health announced an additional 30 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape in the past 24 hours. The Province cumulative total currently stands at 92 043 people infected with COVID-19.
In today’s update, Frances Baard reported the highest infections with 10 cases, followed by ZF Mgcawu 8, while JT Gaetsewe and Pixley ka Seme had 6 cases each, and in Namakwa no new infections were recorded.
Today, there were no new deaths (related to COVID-19 complications) reported across the Province. The Province total cumulative deaths currently stand at 2 233.

The number of total active cases currently stands at 2 174.
The Province average recovery rate stand at 95%, representing a cumulative total of 87 636 people who have recovered from COVID-19. All five districts in the Province have a recovery rate of above 90%.
