According to Sol Plaatje call centre, it’s a huge 11kv trip affecting many areas. Still no estimation of when electricity will be restored.

There appears to be an electricity outage in parts of the New Park/Albertynshof area. We are currently still waiting for an official response from Sol Plaatje or a Ward Councillor of what the issue is.
PLEASE NOTE: The power outage in New Park could influence the water supply from Newton Reservoir where little to no water pressure could be expected for areas serviced by the reservoir
Areas Affected: New Park, Albertynshof and possibly surrounding areas too.
