As in previous occasions, should anything change regarding the grid, loadshedding could be implemented at short notice.
💧‼️ KIMBERLEY NIGHTLY WATER SHUTDOWN STATUS: 20/01/2021 – 18:28 ‼️💧
Sol Plaatje have stated that the current reservoir levels are quite low. As a result thereof Nightly Water Shutdowns will continue until an adequate water level is achieved.
Time of Nightly Water Shutdown: 22:00 – 04:00 / 10pm – 4am
💧‼️ CURRENT WATER STATUS: 03 JANUARY 2021 – 11:45 ‼️💧
Sol Plaatje Municipality is currently struggling to maintain adequate water levels at the Newton Reservoir. Please be prepared for low to no water pressure at all times. Adequate and timely communication is not forthcoming from Sol Plaatje Municipality.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (30 Jan 2021), the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases identified on South Africa is 1 449 236 with 5 297 new cases identified since the last report.
The cumulative total of tests conducted to date is 8 245 124 with 41 540 new tests recorded since the last report.
Regrettably, 318 more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 85, Gauteng 53 ,Kwa-Zulu Natal 112, Mpumalanga 15, North West 6, Northern Cape 3 and Western Cape 44.
This brings the total to 43 951 deaths.
We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased patients.
Our recoveries now stand at 1 292 921, representing a recovery rate of 89%
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 30 JANUARY 2021
The Minister of Health announced an additional 100 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape, bringing the cumulative total to 31 851 people.
In today’s report, Frances Baard recorded the highest number of new positive cases (29), followed by Pixley ka Seme (23), ZF Mgcawu (21), Namakwa (15) and JT Gaetsewe (11) while 1 case is unallocated.
Sadly, we report three (3) additional COVID-19 related deaths, that occurred in the past 72 hours. With these new deaths, the Province total cumulative deaths due to COVID-19 complications now stands at 577.
We convey our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the families and loved ones of the departed.
The number of total active cases stands at 3 864 in the Province.
The number of recoveries increased to 27 408 with the recovery rate of 86%.
