Current dam levels are increasing, so no Nightly Shutdown is envisaged. Repairs are also being done on major pipe bursts. If anything changes, we will keep all updated.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (2 Nov 2020), the cumulative number of detected COVID-19 cases is 727 595 with 772 new cases identified since the last report.
The cumulative number of tests conducted to date is 4 852 918 with 10 402 new tests conducted since the last report.
Regrettably, we report 54 COVID-19 related deaths today: 24 from Eastern Cape, 13 from the Free State, 1 from KwaZulu-Natal, 2 from Limpopo, 1 from Mpumalanga, 9 from Northern Cape, and 4 from Western Cape.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 19 465. Of the 54 deaths reported today, 4 were reported to have occurred in the past 24-48 hours: 1 in KwaZulu Natal, and 3 in Western Cape.
We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the healthcare workers that treated the deceased patients.
Our recoveries now stand at 657 500 which translates to a recovery rate of 90%
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 02 NOVEMBER 2020
The Minister of Health announced an additional 27 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape, bringing the cumulative total to 22 039 people.
We regret to report an additional 9 new COVID-19 related deaths in the Northern Cape today: 4 from Frances Baard, 3 from John Taolo Gaetsewe, 1 from Pixley Ka Seme and 1 unallocated. All these deaths occurred over the past 72 hours and this is a result of current ongoing data verification processes to address any backlogs.
We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the departed.
The number of recoveries currently stands at 18 167 which translates to a recovery rate of 82%.
