Griqualand West rugby player stabbed

Griqualand West rugby player, Jonathan Adendoriff, was stabbed four times outside a city ni9ght club shortly after his team’s Currie Cup match against the Western Province on Saturday night.

Adendoriff was with the Griqua team’s physiotherapist, Lance Lammetjies, at the time of the indecent. The two men along with their girlfriends apparently left the Kim-By-Night club and were walking to their car, with Adendoriff walking slightly ahead of the other three when he was attacked.

He was hit over the head with a bottle and stabbed three times in the chest, and once in the leg. he sustained a punctured lung and a fair amount of tissue damage.

He is in a stable condition in MediClinic where he is recovering from emergency surgery after the attack.
