PLANNED POWER INTERRUPTION – MAC DOUGALL SUBSTATION
The Electrical Department will be conducting planned maintenance on the 11kV/400V local transformer at Mac Dougall Substation on Wednesday, 22 October 2025, from 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
The following institutions and surrounding areas will be affected by the power interruption:
- New CRC
- Careline Clinic
- Mediclinic Gariep Hospital
- Kimberley Mental Health Hospital
Residents and affected institutions are advised to treat all electrical installations as live at all times during the maintenance period.
The municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all those affected.
