As in previous occasions, should anything change regarding the grid, loadshedding could be implemented at short notice.

💧‼️ KIMBERLEY NIGHTLY WATER SHUTDOWN STATUS: 20/01/2021 – 18:28 ‼️💧
Sol Plaatje have stated that the current reservoir levels are quite low. As a result thereof Nightly Water Shutdowns will continue until an adequate water level is achieved.
Time of Nightly Water Shutdown: 22:00 – 04:00 / 10pm – 4am

💧‼️ CURRENT WATER STATUS: 03 JANUARY 2021 – 11:45 ‼️💧
Sol Plaatje Municipality is currently struggling to maintain adequate water levels at the Newton Reservoir. Please be prepared for low to no water pressure at all times. Adequate and timely communication is not forthcoming from Sol Plaatje Municipality.

COVID-19 INFO

As of today (26 Jan 2021), the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases identified in South Africa is 1 423 578.
The cumulative total of tests conducted to date is 8 058 768 with 39 529 new tests conducted since the last report.

Regrettably, we report 680 more COVID-19 related deaths: Eastern Cape 86, Free State 28, Gauteng 141 , Kwa-Zulu Natal 306, Limpopo 4, Mpumalanga 18, Northern Cape 2 and Western Cape 95
which brings the total to 41 797 deaths.
We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased patients.

Our recoveries now stand at 1 254 674, representing a recovery rate of 88%

NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 26 JANUARY 2021
The Minister of Health announced an additional 69 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape, bringing the cumulative total to 31 154 people. The last time the Province reported new cases that are below 100 was on 5 January 2021.
In today’s report, Frances Baard recorded the highest number of positive cases (21), followed by ZF Mgcawu (18), JT Gaetsewe (13), Pixley ka Seme (8) and Namakwa (4) while 5 cases are unallocated.
Sadly, we report two (2) additional COVID-19 related deaths, that occurred in the past 72 hours. With these new deaths, the Province total cumulative deaths due to COVID-19 complications now stands at 553.
We convey our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the families and loved ones of the departed.
The number of total active cases stands at 4 421 in the Province.
The number of recoveries increased to 26 178 with the recovery rate of 84%.
