As in previous occasions, should anything change regarding the grid, loadshedding could be implemented at short notice.

In a media release by Executive Mayor Patrick Mabilo, it was mentioned that the water supply will be interrupted in low lying areas at 18h00 till 05h00 whilst high lying areas will be interrupted at 20h00 to 05h00. Residents should however still use water sparingly otherwise the water situation will not return to normal and also to prevent possible earlier shutoff at Newton Reservoir if the need arises.

Have a flatmate that rocks? Explore a few simple and fun ways to say thanks.
You know you owe your flatmate a lot. She’s taken the dog out for you when your shift ran late; he stood beside you with a can of roach spray in hand when your crazy ex showed up for the ninth time that weekend; and she loaned you cash to pay your cell phone bill when you ran over your minutes. Through thick and thin, your flatmate has had your back.
And now it’s time to say thank you, here’s a few ideas for you.
Say something nice. Drop a compliment out of the blue, and be sincere. Do this a handful of times a week. Otherwise, communication is only about problems.
Cook enough for both of you. If you’re cooking a meal for yourself, double up the recipe and invite your flatmate to the feast. Food is often a flash point, turn it into a positive instead.
Be reliable. Pay bills (especially rent) on time, every time. If you say you’re going to clean, make sure you do it. Don’t leave your flatmate guessing.
Be resource conscientious. Turn off lights, turn down the AC or heat when you leave, conserve water. Lower utility bills help everyone.
Get your clean on. Tidy up the communal areas – kitchen, bathroom, living room – without being asked and without being all holier-than-thou about it. This is HUGE if your roomie is the one that usually does the cleaning.
Throw some money around. Don’t fret over pennies, round your portion of the utilities up to the nearest dollar. Don’t make a big deal about it.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (23 Mar 2021), the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases for South Africa is 1 538 961.
The cumulative total of tests conducted is 9 665 664 with 16 445 tests completed since the last report.
Today, 55 more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 6, Free State 11, Gauteng 4, Kwa-Zulu Natal 5, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 0, North West 25, Northern Cape 0 and Western Cape 4 which brings the total to 52 251 deaths.
We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.
Our cumulative recoveries today stand at 1 465 204, representing a recovery rate of 95%.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 23 MARCH 2021
The Minister of Health announced an additional 20 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape today. The Province cumulative total now stand at 35 670 people.
Namakwa recorded the highest daily positive cases with 10, followed by ZF Mgcawu (6) while Frances Baard and Pixley ka Seme recorded 3 and, respectively. And no new cases were recorded for the JT Gaetsewe in the past 24 hours. Out of 10 cases reported in the Namakwa district, 9 of them were from Hantam LM while in the ZF Mgcawu district, all 6 reported cases comes from Dawid Kruiper LM alone.
For the fourth day in succession, no newly-recorded COVID-19 related death was reported. The Province total cumulative deaths due to COVID-19 complications is currently standing at 794.

The number of total active cases in the Province is currently standing at 2 615.
There were 61 people reported to have recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours. The Province average recovery rate currently stands at 90%, representing a cumulative total of 32 259 people who have recovered from COVID-19.

VACCINES SAVE LIVES – VACCINATION ROLL-OUT
The roll-out of the Province COVID-19 Vaccination Program is continuing in the Namakwa district, the third district to date. Today, the program commenced at the Calvinia site (Hantam LM), where at the end of the day, 98 people were vaccinated.
The total number of Healthcare Workers vaccinated across the Province is currently standing at 4 654 since the vaccination campaign started on 17 February 2021.
