COVID-19 INFO
As of today (22 Sept 2020), the cumulative number of detected COVID-19 cases is 663 282 with 1 346 new cases identified.
The cumulative number of tests conducted to date is 4 064 117 with 16 394 new tests conducted since the last report.
Regrettably, we report 126 more COVID-19 related deaths: 5 from Eastern Cape 54 from KwaZulu-Natal, 45 from Gauteng, 5 from North West, and 17 from Western Cape.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 16 118.
We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the healthcare workers that treated the deceased patients.
Our recoveries now stand at 592 904 which translates to a recovery rate of 89,4%
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 22 SEPTEMBER 2020
The Minister of Health announced an additional 114 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape, bringing the cumulative total to 15 280 people.
Regrettably, the Minister announced 5 additional deaths in the Northern Cape: 2 from the Sol Plaatje Local Municipality, 1 from the Gamagara Local Municipality, 1 from the Ga-Segonyana Local Municipality and 1 from the Tsantsabane Local Municipality. This brings the total number of deaths in the province due to COVID-19 to 189. We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.
There are three people to be reallocated to other provinces. The number of recoveries currently stands at 11 724 which translates to a recovery rate of 77%.
