For those who love cats, a hairball every now and then isn’t much to worry about. It’s just cats doing their cat thing, so why should you worry? That’s why Hairball Awareness Day exists.

This holiday aims to bring awareness to the consequences that hairballs can have on your cat’s health. It also strives to remove the stereotype that cats have when it comes to their habits of coughing up hairballs.

How to celebrate Hairball Awareness Day
Check up on your pet cat today and see how their health has been recently. Pet them, keep an eye on them throughout the next few weeks and see how often they cough up hairballs. If it’s more consistent than usual, then take them to the vet.

Tell others about the facts you learn about hairballs. Let your friends know about the dangers of what too many hairballs can do to their cats. Share this holiday on with your friends and family members about this holiday and spread the word about hairballs.
