As in previous occasions, should anything change regarding the grid, loadshedding could be implemented at short notice.
💧‼️ CURRENT WATER STATUS: ‼️💧
In a media release by Executive Mayor Patrick Mabilo, it was mentioned that the water supply will be interrupted in low lying areas at 18h00 till 05h00 whilst high lying areas will be interrupted at 20h00 to 05h00. Residents should however still use water sparingly otherwise the water situation will not return to normal and also to prevent possible earlier shutoff at Newton Reservoir if the need arises.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (31 Mar 2021), the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases for South Africa is 1 548 157.
The cumulative total of tests conducted is 9 879 348 with 34 513 tests completed since the last report.
Today, 58 more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 0, Free State 1, Gauteng 23, Kwa-Zulu Natal 23, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 0, North West 0, Northern Cape 2 and Western Cape 9, which brings the total to 52 846 deaths.
We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.
Our cumulative recoveries today stand at 1 474 319, representing a recovery rate of 95%.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 31 MARCH 2021
The Minister of Health announced an additional 84 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape today. The Province cumulative total is now standing at 36 256 people.
In today’s report, Frances Baard recorded the highest daily positive cases (22), followed by Namakwa and Pixley ka Seme with 17 cases each, ZF Mgcawu (15) and JT Gaetaewe (10) while 3 cases are unallocated.
There were two (2) new COVID-19 related death reported today from Gamagara LM and Kai! Garib LM, that occurred in the past 72 hours. The Province total cumulative deaths due to COVID-19 complications is now standing at 824.

The number of total active cases in the Province is currently standing at 2 583.
There were 44 people reported to have recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours. The Province average recovery rate currently stands at 91%, representing a cumulative total of 32 847 people who have recovered from COVID-19.

VACCINES SAVE LIVES – VACCINATION ROLL-OUT
The vaccination Programme has been complete in the Namakwa District and will commence in Pixley ka Seme District after the Easter holidays. The total number of Healthcare Workers vaccinated across the Province is currently standing at 5 494 since the vaccination campaign started on 17 February 2021.
