WATER SUPPLY STATUS
The pumps at Newton Reservoir was switched off last night to help raise the levels in the dams and switched back on early this morning. High water usage after last week’s outage prevented the dams reaching satisfactory levels placing the buffer for water supply to high lying areas in jeopardy.
There has been no further communication from Sol Plaatje Municipality but this process could be reaped until the water levels at Newton Reservoir reach an acceptable height.
