Current dam levels are increasing, so no Nightly Shutdown is envisaged. Repairs are also being done on major pipe bursts. If anything changes, we will keep all updated.

TODAY IS CLEAN OUT YOUR REFRIGERATOR DAY
Although it has been rumored that Clean Your Refrigerator Day was started by the Whirlpool Corporation, the origin of this event is lost in the mists of time. The day is a great reminder though, that, to function effectively, our kitchen appliances should be cleaned out once in a while.
Refrigerators can be one of those kitchen appliances that are taken for granted. They keep food cool and prevent it from spoiling. We only notice them when they fail to work or if a foul smell starts emanating from the interior every time we open the door. Food we bought weeks ago can be lurking in the back, uneaten.
So, don your rubber gloves, fill that bucket with warm water and get cleaning. It won’t take long. In fact, a couple of hours will probably do it. The ‘fridge doesn’t even have to be turned off. You’ll thank yourself later.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (14 Nov 2020), the cumulative number of detected COVID-19 cases is 749 182 with 2 237 new cases identified since the last report.
The cumulative number of tests conducted to date is 5 110 384 with 23 497 new tests conducted since the last report.
Regrettably, 53 more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 34, Free State 6, Kwa-Zulu Natal 5 and Western Cape 8.
This brings the total to 20 206. Of the 53 deaths, 19 reportedly occurred in the last 48 hours: 8 in the Eastern Cape, 3 in the Free State,1 in KwaZulu Natal and 7 in the Western Cape.
We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the healthcare workers that treated the deceased patients.
Our recoveries now stand at 693 261 which translates to a recovery rate of 92,5%
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 14 NOVEMBER 2020
The Minister of Health announced an additional 42 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape, bringing the cumulative total to 22 669 people.
No new COVID-19 related death was reported today.
The number of recoveries currently stands at 18 700 with the recovery rate at 83%.
