As in previous occasions, should anything change regarding the grid, loadshedding could be implemented at short notice.
💧‼️ CURRENT WATER STATUS: ‼️💧
In a media release by Executive Mayor Patrick Mabilo, it was mentioned that the water supply will be interrupted in low lying areas at 18h00 till 05h00 whilst high lying areas will be interrupted at 20h00 to 05h00. Residents should however still use water sparingly otherwise the water situation will not return to normal and also to prevent possible earlier shutoff at Newton Reservoir if the need arises.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (03 Apr 2021), the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases for South Africa is 1 551 501.
The cumulative total of tests conducted is 9 956 086 with 16 391 tests completed since the last report.
Today, 8 more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 0, Free State 3, Gauteng 1, Kwa-Zulu Natal 2, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 0, North West 0, Northern Cape 1 and Western Cape 1; this brings the total to 52 954 deaths.
We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.
Our cumulative recoveries today stand at 1 476 605, representing a recovery rate of 95%.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 03 APRIL 2021
The Minister of Health announced an additional 88 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape today. The Province cumulative total is now standing at 36 566 people.
The following changes were effected as a result of the ongoing data verification:
– Re-allocations of previously confirmed cases was done between some sub-districts (i.e. Magareng LM, Phokwane LM, Hantam LM, Siyancuma LM and Siyathemba LM).
– The two (2) previously confirmed cases that were wrongly allocated to the Province have been removed.
In today’s report, Frances Baard recorded the highest daily positive cases (33), followed by JT Gaetsewe and Namakwa with 20 cases each, ZF Mgcawu (13) and Pixley ka Seme (2). Between Monday and today (29 March – 03 April 2021) Frances Baard has recorded the highest number of new cases compared to all other four districts in the Province.
There was one (1) new COVID-19 related death reported today from Dawid Kruiper LM, that occurred in the past 72 hours. The Province total cumulative deaths due to COVID-19 complications is now standing at 825.

The number of total active cases in the Province is currently standing at 2 805.
There were 23 people reported to have recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours. The Province average recovery rate currently stands at 90%, representing a cumulative total of 32 934 people who have recovered from COVID-19.

VACCINES SAVE LIVES – VACCINATION ROLL-OUT
The vaccination Programme will commence in Pixley ka Seme District after the Easter holidays, on 06 April 2021. The total number of Healthcare Workers vaccinated across the Province is currently standing at 5 494 since the vaccination campaign started on 17 February 2021.
