Current dam levels are increasing, so no Nightly Shutdown is envisaged. Repairs are also being done on major pipe bursts. If anything changes, we will keep all updated.

TODAY IS MAGIC DAY
Magic Day started with a “Houdini Day”, the first of which took place in the summer of 1927, less than one year after the famous magician’s death. His wife presented a trophy in honour of him on that day.
Harry Houdini is quite probably one of the reasons magic is so popular today and at the time of his death he was the most famous member of the Society of American Magicians. Houdini died at 1:26pm on October 31st, 1926.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (30 Oct 2020), the cumulative number of detected COVID-19 cases is 723 682 with 1 912 new cases identified since the last report.
The cumulative number of tests conducted to date is 4 800 823 with 23 214 new tests conducted since the last report.
Regrettably, we report 66 COVID-19 related deaths today: 21 from Eastern Cape, 2 from Gauteng, 7 from the Free State, 8 from KwaZulu Natal, 2 from Mpumalanga, 18 from North West, 4 from Northern Cape and 4 from Western Cape.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 19 230. Of the 66 deaths reported today, 10 were reported to have occurred in the past 24-48 hours: 1 in the Eastern Cape, 3 in the Free State, 2 from Gauteng, and 4 from Western Cape.
We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the healthcare workers that treated the deceased patients.
Our recoveries now stand at 653 052 which translates to a recovery rate of 90%
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 30 OCTOBER 2020
The Minister of Health announced an additional 147 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape, bringing the cumulative total to 21 836 people.
We regret to report an additional 4 new COVID-19 related deaths in the Northern Cape today: all from the Kai !Garib local municipality in the ZF Mgcawu district.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the Province to 266. We further extend our deepest condolences to the family of the departed.
The number of recoveries currently stands at 17 932 which translates to a recovery rate of 82%.
