Kimberley Sol Plaatje Municipal Rates & Tariffs for 2021/22 – as from 1 July 2021
Rates increase by 4,0%, electricity by 14,59% (domestic), water by 4,0%,  sanitation by 4,0% and cleansing/refuse collection by 4,0%.

COVID-19 INFO

As of today (03 December 2021), the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), a division of the National Health Laboratory Service reports 16,055 new COVID-19 cases that have been identified in South Africa, which brings the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases to 3,004,203. This increase represents a 24.3% positivity rate.

As per the National Department of Health, a further 25 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 89,944 to date.

19,646,423 tests have been conducted in both public and private sectors.

The majority of new cases today are from Gauteng (72%). Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal each accounted for 6% and North West 5%. Mpumalanga accounted for 4%; Limpopo 3% and Free State and Eastern Cape each accounted for 2%. Northern Cape accounted for 1% of today’s new cases.

NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 03 DECEMBER 2021
The National Department of Health announced an additional 93 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape in the past 24 hours. The Province cumulative total currently stands at 93 553 people infected with COVID-19. Today’s reported new cases is another noticeable increase in daily reported infections while the Province average positivity rate also rose to 10.6% compared to yesterday (9.1%). The Province accounts for a 0.6% to the country’s reported new cases (16 055).
In today’s update, Frances Baard accounts for the highest infections (54) , followed by JT Gaetsewe (17), ZF Mgcawu (10), Pixley ka Seme 8 and Namakwa (4).
Only one (1) additional COVID-19 related death was reported, which occurred in the past 72 hours. The total cumulative deaths in the Province stand at 2 401.
We convey our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the families and loved ones of the departed.
The Province average recovery rate currently stands at 97%, representing a cumulative total of 90 508 people who have recovered from COVID-19. And the number of total active cases stands at 642. The recovery rate at district level is as follows: Frances Baard (95%), JT Gaetsewe (97%), Namakwa (98%), Pixley ka Seme (98%) and ZM Mgcawu (97%).
