Kimberley Sol Plaatje Municipal Rates & Tariffs for 2021/22 – as from 1 July 2021
Rates increase by 4,0%, electricity by 14,59% (domestic), water by 4,0%, sanitation by 4,0% and cleansing/refuse collection by 4,0%.

As of today (26 September 2021), the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), a division of the National Health Laboratory Service reports 967 new COVID-19 cases that have been identified in South Africa, which brings the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases to 2,896,943. This increase represents a 5.0% positivity rate.
As per the National Department of Health, a further 51 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 87,052 to date.
17,572,675 tests have been conducted in both public and private sectors.
The majority of new cases today are from KwaZulu-Natal (28%), followed by Eastern Cape (17%). Western Cape accounted for 12%; Free State accounted for 10%; Gauteng Province, North West and Northern Cape each accounted for 8% respectively; Mpumalanga accounted for 7% and Limpopo accounted for 1% of today’s new cases.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 26 SEP 2021
The National Department of Health announced an additional 74 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape in the past 24 hours. The Province cumulative total currently stands at 90 272 people infected with COVID-19. Today’s reported new cases is a substantial drop, since 27 July 2021, the Province has never recorded cases below 100 in a single day.
In today’s update, Namakwa had the highest infections with 39 cases, followed by Frances Baard (14) while the other three districts (JT Gaetsewe, Pixley ka Seme and ZF Mgcawu) each recording 7 cases.
There were no new deaths (related to COVID-19 complications) reported today. The Province total cumulative deaths currently stand at 2 170.

The number of total active cases is standing at 5 752.
There were 68 people reported to have recovered from the disease. The Province average recovery rate remains 91%, representing a cumulative total of 82 348 people who have recovered from COVID-19.
