As in previous occasions, should anything change regarding the grid, loadshedding could be implemented at short notice.
💧‼️ CURRENT WATER STATUS: ‼️💧
In a media release by Executive Mayor Patrick Mabilo, it was mentioned that the water supply will be interrupted in low lying areas at 18h00 till 05h00 whilst high lying areas will be interrupted at 20h00 to 05h00. Residents should however still use water sparingly otherwise the water situation will not return to normal and also to prevent possible earlier shutoff at Newton Reservoir if the need arises.

TODAY IS DESKFAST DAY
What with our careers being more important than ever to us these days, a new trend has begun to dominate the workplace—ladies and gentlemen, we present to you: the deskfast. What is the deskfast, you may ask? The word deskfast is an amalgamation of two words: desk and breakfast, meaning deskfast is the first meal of your day eaten at your desk at work.
At first, nutritionists were appalled by the idea of not eating breakfast at home, but as time went on, it turned out that thanks to deskfasts, people were eating less sugary cereals jam-packed with preservatives and sodium and more decidedly healthy things, like sandwiches, breakfast muffins or porridge. And needless to say, eating your breakfast at work is definitely better than skipping this most important of meals entirely.
So why not take part in this ever more popular trend by celebrating Deskfast Day this year.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (11 Apr 2021), the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases for South Africa is 1 558 458.
The number of tests conducted to date is 10 138 936. Of these 23 013 tests were completed since the last report.
Today, 66 more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 0, Free State 15, Gauteng 6, Kwa-Zulu Natal 0, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 0, North West 35, Northern Cape 0 and Western Cape 10, which brings the total to 53 322 deaths.
We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.
Our cumulative recoveries today stand at 1 483 296, representing a recovery rate of 95%.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 11 APRIL 2021
The Minister of Health announced an additional 88 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape today. With today’s reported cases, the Province has breached the 37 000 mark, with a cumulative total now standing at 37 053 people.
In today’s report, Namakwa recorded the highest positive cases (24), followed by Frances Baard (22), JT Gaetsewe and ZF Mgacwu with 16 cases each while Pixley ka Seme recorded 10 cases.
There were now new COVID-19 related deaths reported today across the Province. The Province total cumulative deaths due to COVID-19 complications is now standing at 840.

The number of total active cases in the Province increased slightly to 3 089.
The Province average recovery rate currently stands at 90%, representing a cumulative total of 33 122 people who have recovered from COVID-19.

VACCINES SAVE LIVES – VACCINATION ROLL-OUT
The vaccination outreach Programme at Prieska Hospital was concluded on 10 April 2021 and will be commencing in the De Aar Hospital next week (12 – 16 April 2021). The total number of Healthcare Workers vaccinated across the Province is currently standing at 5 729 since the vaccination campaign started on 17 February 2021.
