As in previous occasions, should anything change regarding the grid, loadshedding could be implemented at short notice.
💧‼️ CURRENT WATER STATUS: ‼️💧
In a media release by Executive Mayor Patrick Mabilo, it was mentioned that the water supply will be interrupted in low lying areas at 18h00 till 05h00 whilst high lying areas will be interrupted at 20h00 to 05h00. Residents should however still use water sparingly otherwise the water situation will not return to normal and also to prevent possible earlier shutoff at Newton Reservoir if the need arises.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (25 Mar 2021), the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases for South Africa is 1 541 563.
The cumulative total of tests conducted is 9 722 821 with 32 002 tests completed since the last report.
Today, 163 more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 0 , Free State 9, Gauteng 24, Kwa-Zulu Natal 5, Limpopo 71, Mpumalanga 0, North West 37, Northern Cape 16 and Western Cape 1 which brings the total to 52 535 deaths.
We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.
Our cumulative recoveries today stand at 1 467 254, representing a recovery rate of 95%.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 25 MARCH 2021
The Minister of Health announced an additional 99 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape today. The Province cumulative total now stand at 35 783 people.
In today’s report, Namakwa recorded the highest daily positive cases (36), followed by ZF Mgcawu (24), Frances Baard and JT Gaetsewe with 17 cases, and Pixley ka Seme (5) .
There are sixteen (16) newly-recorded COVID-19 related death reported today. Among these, only one (1) occurred in the past 72 hours while the rest are from previous months due to delays in reporting.
The newly-recorded deaths are from Frances Baard (12), ZF Mgcawu (3) and Pixley ka Seme (1). The Province total cumulative deaths due to COVID-19 complications is now standing at 818.

The number of total active cases in the Province is currently standing at 2 630.
There were 24 people reported to have recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours. The Province average recovery rate currently stands at 90%, representing a cumulative total of 32 333 people who have recovered from COVID-19.

VACCINES SAVE LIVES – VACCINATION ROLL-OUT
Today, 58 people were vaccinated at Calvinia Hospital and vaccination is complete in Calvinia. The team will be moving to Springbok to continue with the Province vaccination Programme.
The total number of Healthcare Workers vaccinated across the Province is currently standing at 4 816 since the vaccination campaign started on 17 February 2021.
