Kimberley Sol Plaatje Municipal Rates & Tariffs for 2021/22 – as from 1 July 2021
Rates increase by 4,0%, electricity by 14,59% (domestic), water by 4,0%,  sanitation by 4,0% and cleansing/refuse collection by 4,0%.

COVID-19 INFO

As of today (8 July 2021), the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), a division of the National Health Laboratory Service, reports 22, 910 new COVID-19 cases that have been identified in South Africa, which brings the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases to 2, 135, 246. This increase represents a 30.4% positivity rate.

As per the National Department of Health, a further 460 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 63 499 to date.

13 694 914 tests have been conducted in both public and private sectors.

NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 08 JULY 2021
The National Department of Health announced an additional 276 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape in the past 24 hours. This brings the Province total to 61 044 people.
Frances Baard recorded the highest COVID-19 infections with 71; followed by ZF Mgcawu (68), Namakwa (47), Pixley ka Seme (44) and JT Gaetsewe (37) while 9 cases are unallocated.
Today, there were three (3) newly recorded COVID-19 related deaths reported across the Province, 2 of these deaths occurred in the last 72 hours while 1 is from previous weeks due to delays in reporting. All these new deaths Frances Baard: 2 x Sol Plaatje LM and 1 x Phokwane LM. The Province total cumulative deaths increased to 1 443.
We convey our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the families and loved ones of the departed.
The number of total active cases currently stand at 4 965.
Today, 245 people were reported to have recovered from the disease. The Province average recovery rate stand at 89%, representing a cumulative total of 54 634 people who have recovered from COVID-19.
