* Explosion occurred on 66kV Current Transformer.
* Electrical Engineer and broader team are on site:
– Line safety will be enforced and alternative measures to restore supply will be effected once the live line is off.

WIDESPREAD POWER OUTAGE EMANATING FROM HADISON PARK SUBSTATION

• Power outage affecting a number of residential areas supplied from the Hadison Park Substation.

There are reports of a large area of Kimberley without power.
It is not loadshedding and is not limited to ward 24.
It has been reported to the municipality.

PLEASE NOTE: As some parts of New Park is also affected, there Newton Reservoir could also be off and residents will experience little to no water pressure.
