Robert Sobukwe’s law offices was turned into a heritage site in 2005, but has gone into wrench an ruin.
Lentikile Matthews, Northern Cape PAC Co-Ordinator, asked that the offices should be renovated, maintained and 24/7 security be placed at the site. “If government fails to do this, they should rather hand over the offices to the PAC, because we believe that we can do a better job.”
According to Sello Matsie, the Sol Plaatje Municipality Spokesperson, the vandalising of heritage sites in Kimberley has been a problem for a long time. “We can’t repeatedly be putting in money into a situation where people vandalise this facilities.
