Kimberley 4 Kimberley: A Collaborative Effort to Transform City Roads
The city of Kimberley in the Northern Cape is set to witness a significant transformation of its roads with the launch of a new initiative called Kimberley 4 Kimberley.

Spearheaded by a joint venture between businesses, residents, the Northern Cape Chamber of Commerce (NOCCI) and the Sol Plaatje Municipality, this project aims to enhance the road infrastructure of Kimberley.
DF Marais, the contractor for the project, says with the combined efforts of various stakeholders, the community can look forward to a smoother commute. “To ensure its success, businesses and residents will contribute to a fund while the municipality will provide the necessary resources, including tar and materials. Myself, as the appointed contractor, will handle the vital task of road repairs and upgrades.”
The Kimberley 4 Kimberley project represents a prime example of collaboration between different entities to address a shared challenge.
The success of Kimberley 4 Kimberley heavily relies on the active participation of businesses and residents. Recognising this, the project encourages local enterprises and community members to contribute to a dedicated fund. These contributions will directly support the necessary road repairs and upgrades, ensuring that the project remains financially sustainable.
Marais says they will ensure that the road works adhere to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
