NOTICE: Planned Temporary Electricity Interruption for the Greatermans Substation, Connolly Place, Hugo Street, Old Nedbank Building & Saambou Mini Substations on Saturday 15th October 2016 from 08:00 to 16:00.
The Sol Plaatje Municipality would like to alert Businesses and Residents of a temporary electricity supply interruption planned for SATURDAY 15th October 2016, from 08h00 to 16h00.
The specific areas that will be affected include Greatermans substation, Connolly Place, Hugo Street, Old Ned Bank Building, and Saambou Mini Substations. The main reason for the interruption is to conduct essential transformer maintenance in all these areas. The approximate time per sub-station is about two and a half hours. The Municipality would like to urge residents and businesses in the affected areas to treat electrical appliances as “live” because the supply could be restored at an earlier time.
