As in previous occasions, should anything change regarding the grid, loadshedding could be implemented at short notice.
💧‼️ CURRENT WATER STATUS: ‼️💧
In a media release by Executive Mayor Patrick Mabilo, it was mentioned that the water supply will be interrupted in low lying areas at 18h00 till 05h00 whilst high lying areas will be interrupted at 20h00 to 05h00. Residents should however still use water sparingly otherwise the water situation will not return to normal and also to prevent possible earlier shutoff at Newton Reservoir if the need arises.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (02 Apr 2021), the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases for South Africa is 1 550 724.
The cumulative total of tests conducted is 9 939 695 with 27 622 tests completed since the last report.
Today, a further 49 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: Eastern Cape 1, Free State 3, Gauteng 16, Kwa-Zulu Natal 22, Limpopo 0, Mpumalanga 1, North West 0, Northern Cape 0 and Western Cape 6 which brings the total to 52 946 deaths.
We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased.
Our cumulative recoveries today stand at 1 475 398, representing a recovery rate of 95%.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 02 APRIL 2021
The Minister of Health announced an additional 132 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape today. The Province cumulative total is now standing at 36 480 people.
In today’s report, ZF Mgcawu recorded the highest daily positive cases (37), followed by Frances Baard (32), Namakwa (30), Pixley ka Seme (17) and JT Gaetsewe (16).
There were no new COVID-19 related deaths reported today from all districts. The Province total cumulative deaths due to COVID-19 complications is now standing at 824.

The number of total active cases in the Province is currently standing at 2 743.
There were 59 people reported to have recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours. The Province average recovery rate currently stands at 90%, representing a cumulative total of 32 911 people who have recovered from COVID-19.

VACCINES SAVE LIVES – VACCINATION ROLL-OUT
The vaccination Programme will commence in Pixley ka Seme District after the Easter holidays. The total number of Healthcare Workers vaccinated across the Province is currently standing at 5 494 since the vaccination campaign started on 17 February 2021.
