As in previous occasions, should anything change regarding the grid, loadshedding could be implemented at short notice.
💧‼️ KIMBERLEY NIGHTLY WATER SHUTDOWN STATUS: 20/01/2021 – 18:28 ‼️💧
Sol Plaatje have stated that the current reservoir levels are quite low. As a result thereof Nightly Water Shutdowns will continue until an adequate water level is achieved.
Time of Nightly Water Shutdown: 22:00 – 04:00 / 10pm – 4am
💧‼️ CURRENT WATER STATUS: 03 JANUARY 2021 – 11:45 ‼️💧
Sol Plaatje Municipality is currently struggling to maintain adequate water levels at the Newton Reservoir. Please be prepared for low to no water pressure at all times. Adequate and timely communication is not forthcoming from Sol Plaatje Municipality.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (24 Jan 2021), the cumulative number of COVID-19 cases identified on South Africa is 1 412 986 with 8 147 new cases identified since the last report.
The cumulative total of tests conducted to date is 7 993 126 with 46 119 new tests conducted since the last report.
Regrettably, we report 300 more COVID-19 related deaths: Eastern Cape 43 , Free State 15, Gauteng 45, Kwa-Zulu Natal 70, Mpumalanga 6, North West 14, Northern Cape 2 and 105 Western Cape.
This brings the total to 40 874 deaths.
We convey our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the health care workers who treated the deceased patients.
Our recoveries now stand at 1 230 520, representing a recovery rate of 87%
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 24 JANUARY 2021
The Minister of Health announced an additional 175 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape, bringing the cumulative total to 30 960 people.
In today’s report, Namakwa recorded the highest number of positive cases (48), followed by Frances Baard (47), ZF Mgcawu (44), F+Pixley ka Seme (25) and JT Gaetsewe (9) while 2 case is unallocated.
Sadly, we report two (2) additional COVID-19 related deaths, that occurred in the past 72 hours. With these new deaths, the Province total cumulative deaths due to COVID-19 complications now stands at 546.
We convey our sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the families and loved ones of the departed.
The number of total active cases stands at 4 576 in the Province.
The number of recoveries increased to 25 836 with the recovery rate of 84%.
