Underground Strike At KEM-JV Mine Continues

Striking miners at Kimberley Ekapa Mining Joint Venture, in the Northern Cape, say they will only return to the surface once their demands have been met. Workers embarked on an underground strike since Friday demanding salary increases and better working conditions. Mine management has interdicted the National Union of Mineworkers and says the strike is illegal and unprotected.
