Roburn Construction on behalf of Sol Plaatje University hereby give notice of the following temporary road closures:
Scanlan Street
This road will be closed from the 27th September 2015 till the end of July 2016.
Due to the numerous services being put in, as well as construction and delivery vehicles using this road, it has been decided in conjunction with the Sol Plaatje Municipality that it will be safer for the public to not be exposed to the congestion and that all works will first be completed before the road will be reopened. Residents in Scanlan Street will be given access to their dwellings.
Bishops Avenue
This road will be closed from the 2nd October 2015 for a period of 25 working days
The closure of this road over this specific time period, is to enable the Sol Plaatje University to connect its services to that of the council. This requires the sewer lines to cross Bishops Avenue.
The Road will be closed between the Memorial road turn off and Bultfontein road.
This period has specifically been earmarked during the schools break in October, as one of the diversion routes will be of the N12 past the front of Kimberley Junior School.
Business owners, residents and tenants in Bishops Avenue, will be given access to their properties.
The Sol Plaatje University would like to apologise for the inconvenience experienced during this period of construction.
