The Sol Plaatje Municipality once again warns residents of a WhatsApp scam:
– Fraudster: “Feroz Kahn” claims to work for the municipality
– Claim: Urges ratepayers to report to properties for disconnection due to arrears
– Truth: No “Feroz Kahn” – Head of Disconnections, 060 897 8120, works for the municipality, and no physical disconnections are being done.
⚡Token Identifier Rollover (TID) for Prepaid Electricity Meters⚡

The Sol Plaatje Local Municipality (“SPLM ) is extending a call to all prepaid electricity users to positively respond to the Electricity Meter Box Update project ahead of the deadline on 24 November 2024.

We are fortunate to live in a time when so many of our elderly are living lives of unexpected health and financial security, but such was not always the case. Throughout history old age was not something an individual expected to reach, and so we lost the wisdom and experience of these individuals at an early age. Senior Citizen Day celebrates the fact that these keepers of wisdom are staying with us longer each year, and in better health.
