COVID-19 INFO
As of today (10 November 2021), the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), a division of the National Health Laboratory Service reports 305 new COVID-19 cases that have been identified in South Africa, which brings the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases to 2,924,622. This increase represents a 0.9% positivity rate.
As per the National Department of Health, a further 48 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 89,435 to date.
18,802,232 tests have been conducted in both public and private sectors.
The majority of new cases today are from Gauteng (30%), followed by Western Cape accounting for 17%. KwaZulu-Natal accounted for 14%; Free State accounted for 9%; North West accounted for 8%; Mpumalanga and Northern Cape each accounted for 7% respectively; Eastern Cape accounted for 6%; and Limpopo accounted for 3% of today’s new cases.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 10 NOVEMBER 2021
The National Department of Health announced an additional 21 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape in the past 24 hours. The Province cumulative total currently stands at 92 656 people infected with COVID-19.
Frances Baard recorded the highest infections with 7 cases, followed by ZF Mgcawu and Namakwa with 6 cases each, Pixley ka Seme (2) while in the JT Gaetsewe district, no new cases were recorded in the past 24 hours.
There were no new COVID-19 related deaths reported in the last 72 hours across the Province. However, twenty-six (26) deaths that occurred in the previous months in the Namakwa district (backlog due to delays in reporting), have been updated in the cumulative total. The total cumulative deaths in the Province currently stand at 2 359.

The number of total active cases currently standing at 1 544.
The Province average recovery rate stand at 96%, representing a cumulative total of 88 751 people who have recovered from COVID-19.
