Please be advised of a Water Supply Interruption for the entire city due to Emergency Repairs. To conduct these repairs, we will suspend the water supply from Thursday (22nd October 2020) at 18:00 lasting until Saturday (24th October 2020) in the afternoon.

Kimberley Refuse Collection – UPDATES October 2020

THE SOL Plaatje Municipality’s nine refuse trucks are expected to be back on the road after they were pulled off the city’s streets earlier this week because of expired licence discs, which necessitated renewing the certificate of fitness.
Meanwhile Municipal spokesperson, Thoko Riet stated that areas that had not been collected this week would be collected on Saturday, 24 October 2020.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (23 Oct 2020), the cumulative number of detected COVID-19 cases is 712 412.
The cumulative number of tests conducted to date is 4 657 116 with 23 445 new tests conducted since the last report .
Regrettably, we report 48 COVID-19 related deaths today.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 18 891. Of the 48 deaths reported today, 7 occurred in the past 48 hours.
We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the healthcare workers that treated the deceased patients.
Our recoveries now stand at 643 523 which translates to a recovery rate of 90%
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 23 OCTOBER 2020
The Minister of Health announced an additional 253 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape, bringing the cumulative total to 21 151 people.
There are 16 people to be reallocated to other provinces. The number of recoveries currently stands at 17 326 which translates to a recovery rate of 82%.
