Due to the recurring problem of water leaks as a result of aging infrastructure, residents of the city of Kimberley are advised of a planned Water Supply Interruption for the entire city from 6pm on Thursday 18 November 2021 to Sunday late afternoon 21 November 2021 to do the necessary repairs.

COVID-19 INFO
As of today (19 November 2021), the National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD), a division of the National Health Laboratory Service reports 789 new COVID-19 cases that have been identified in South Africa, which brings the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases to 2,928,288. This increase represents a 2.8% positivity rate.
As per the National Department of Health, a further 7 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing total fatalities to 89,562 to date.
19,061,166 tests have been conducted in both public and private sectors.
The majority of new cases today are from Gauteng (65%), followed by Northern Cape (7%). North West and Western Cape each accounted for 6% respectively; KwaZulu-Natal accounted for 5%; Mpumalanga accounted for 4%; Free State accounted for 3%; Eastern Cape and Limpopo each accounted for 2% respectively of today’s new cases.
NORTHERN CAPE COVID-19 STATISTICS AS AT 19 NOVEMBER 2021
The National Department of Health announced an additional 59 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the Northern Cape in the past 24 hours. The Province cumulative total currently stands at 92 875 people infected with COVID-19. Today’s reported figure is a substantial jump in the daily cases since 27 October this year, where a similar figure was recorded.
Distribution of today’s reported cases is as follows: ZF Mgcawu (44), Namakwa (6), Frances Baard (4), JT Gaetsewe (4) and Pixley ka Seme with 1 case. Today’s reported cases in the ZF Mgcawu district is the highest since 25 September 2021, and the district accounts for 75% of Province today’s new Infections.
No new COVID-19 related deaths were reported across the Province in the past 72 hours. The total cumulative deaths in the Province stand at 2 368.

The number of total active cases currently standing at 1 562.
The Province average recovery rate stand at 96%, representing a cumulative total of 88 943 people who have recovered from COVID-19.
