⚠️ UPDATE: TEMPORARY POWER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION IN GALESHEWE
⚡ The Electricity Department is currently on site at the Galeshewe Substation, repairing a fault on the Phuthanang 11 kV switchgear following an explosion on the feeder.
💡 Repairs will continue into this evening. Supply will be restored to all affected areas once the switchgear has been fully repaired, tested and cleared for energisation.
We plead for patience and understanding while every effort is being made to restore the power supply.

⚠️ALERT: TEMPORARY POWER SUPPLY INTERRUPTION – GALESHEWE SUBSTATION
⚡Due to unfavourable weather conditions, an electrical trip has occurred at Galeshewe Substation, resulting in a temporary interruption of electricity supply.
The Electrical Team is currently onsite assessing and investigating the cause of the trip.
Once the fault has been identified, isolated, and safely cleared from the system, electricity supply will be restored.
Sol Plaatje Local Municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused and appreciates the public’s patience and understanding.
