STAGE 2 loadshedding schedule
-Previous Notices & Updates
Update: 19:00: Rolling Blackouts: Ashburnham scheduled for 20:00-22:00
Herlear & Hall areas currently scheduled to be down but reports from residents state they electricity is still on. Residents from certain Southridge areas also reported that they did not go down between 16:00 and 18:00 as scheduled.
Eskom still show they are in stage 2 loadhshedding and suburbs in other cities are still experiencing blackouts. No updated information has been given to the operators at the Sol Plaatje call centre about the current situation. We can only speculate that Eskom is receiving enough load reduction from other areas and has given Sol Plaatje a temporary respite.
Please stay prepared for possible introduction of loadshedding in the scheduled areas without prior notice.
Update 18:25: Reports are also coming in from Herlear, Belgravia, Albertynshof, Klisser and Beaconsfield that they are not currently off as per the schedule. (18:00-20:00)
Update 17:00: Residents from Memorial Road, Royldene, Monuments Heights and Diamond Pavilion areas are reporting they still have electricity even though they should be off per the schedule.
We have received no change in status from Eskom and Sol Plaatje call centre say these areas should be of at the moment and Herlear and Hall will follow at 18:00 as per the schedule.
We will post an update as soon as new information becomes available.
