We were at the site just now. The pipe has been repaired and water will start going back into the system shortly. Please remember that it takes some time for the empty pipes to fill up and water pressure to rise.
There is currently no water in New Park, Hadison Park, El Toro Park, CBD, Royldene, Herlear and other areas due to a burst 600mm pipe opposite ABSA in Bultfontein Road.
According to Sol Plaatje Municipality the outage will not be long, but most probably it will take some time to fix the pipeline and restore the water supply.
