Please note there will be temporary water supply interruptions on 17 March 2016 between 08:00 and 17:00 in the Phutanang (Promised Land) and Lindani (Transit Camp) areas.
Spokesman for Sol Plaatje Municipality, Sello Matsie, said that this was to allow maintenance work to be done on the main water network.
He stated that the site had been prepared and that all the parts had been procured to minimise the downtime. Static water tanks and mobile tanks will be stationed in OR Tambo Road next to the soccer field, in Ellen Khuzwayo Street next to the clinic, in the road between Promised Land and Lindelani, as well as the open spaces in the middle of Promised Land and Snake Park.
