“Die pyp wat die moeilikheid gee by Newton waterwerke, is geïsoleer.
Herstelwerk sal nou aan hierdie pyp gedoen word en sodra die proses afgehandel is sal die lyn/pyp weer in gebruik gestel word.
Die pompe is nou net aangeskakel. Die druk in die netwerk sal dus nou begin optel.
Daar sal vanaand water in die huishoudings wees.
Die pyp wat nou uit die sisteem is voer Southridge en lughawe.
Die waterspan is nou besig om die voorbereidings te doen om die herstel vanaand klaar te kry.”

“We have resumed at Newton to pump water to the city and identified and conducted measurements the main pipes that needs urgent further attention. The pipe feeding Beaconsfield area is still out of order as means are currently underway to temporarily close about 5 leaks on it. This will be done just to alleviate the water losses from it. Everything is being done as to restore supply on this specific pipe line.

Planned Water Services Supply Interruption for Wednesday 25 January 2017
Please be informed that Sol Plaatje Municipality is planning a water services supply interruption for Wednesday 25th January 2017 at 9:00 am, due to planned inspections that need to be undertaken on one of the water main pipes at Newton Reservoir. The mentioned pipe is currently flooded with water and the area need to be dried out prior to inspection for measurement and proposed solution.
The outcome of the assessment will determine the next step in terms of repairing the leak which will be done on a future planned day and the consumers will be informed timeously in advance.
